Becky could be described as a multi-hyphenate type of person, but she prefers to say that she wears many hats—because she likes hats. She studied at Boston University's College of Fine Arts and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She earned a BFA in Acting from the former, and a Certificate in Classical Theatre from the latter. She resides in Los Angeles, and makes her artistic home at Theatre of NOTE.

In 2012, she opened a handmade hair adornments shop called Whimsy Do where she makes fanciful hair accessories for every occasion and has sold them to customers in 15 different countries.

Becky has an acute love of office supplies which comes in handy in her work as an administrator. She worked for 8 years as the Program Administrator for The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company, and is currently the Director of Operations for Los Angeles Waterkeeper. She's grateful to devote her time to noble causes that happen to indulge her love of binder clips.

She loves her writing hat most of all. It's worn from years of adventure. The hat's wide brim shields Becky’s eyes from the crippling doubt that shines down on every writer's desk. This hat leads through magical portals, under the sea, and to the moon. Becky wears it to write picture books and, so far, three novels. 

Ms. Light lives by the sea in Southern California, though a significant piece of her heart will always reside in Northern California where she grew up. North or South, she loves California deeply.
